Asian Athletics' commitment to clean sport and fair competition

Asian Athletics is committed to the principles of clean sport and supports the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Code. All athletes competing under Asian Athletics must comply with the Anti-Doping Rules as set out by World Athletics and WADA.

Asian Athletics' Role

Constitutional obligation

Under Article III, Section 12 of the AA Constitution, Asian Athletics commits to protecting clean athletes by assisting and co-operating with World Athletics in applying and enforcing the World Anti-Doping Code, and by adopting the rules, programmes and disciplinary measures World Athletics implements.

Member Federation testing

Under Article II, Section 5, Member Federations are obliged to carry out doping control at their major national competitions and out-of-competition testing, reporting all results to the AA Secretary-General.

Integrity Beyond Doping

Competition manipulation, betting & age fraud

These matters fall under the World Athletics Integrity Code of Conduct, independently enforced by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) — see Useful Links below.

Safeguarding

Asian Athletics' Safeguarding Policy and Safeguarding Rules protect athletes and other participants from abuse and harm. Read them on the Constitution & Statutes page.
