Asian Athletics wants this Website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using a screen reader, people who navigate by keyboard alone, and people with low vision.
Conformance Status
We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This Website is partially conformant: some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard, and we have not commissioned an independent, formal accessibility audit.
What We Have Done
- Added descriptive alternative text to photographs and thumbnails across the photo galleries, replacing generic labels such as "Photo 1".
- Given download and "View" links their own descriptive names, so a screen reader announces what a link goes to rather than a repeated generic word.
- Fixed heading structures that skipped levels, and marked up tab controls, filters and data tables with the correct roles and states.
- Added visible focus and keyboard support to interactive components such as filters and expandable sections.
This is an ongoing effort rather than a finished project, and we continue to find and fix gaps as we review the site.
Known Limitations
Some older photo galleries and archived documents were published before this effort began and may not yet meet the same standard. Some documents are provided only as PDF or Word files from third-party sources and may not be fully accessible.
