Day Two in Ordos - Ten Finals, Personal Bests and a Championship Finding Its Rhythm
If Day One in Ordos was about first champions, Day Two was about depth. Ten finals unfolded across the track and field on Friday, spanning everything from the raw speed of the sprints to the grinding endurance of the distance events and the technical precision of the throws and jumps. Under warm evening skies at the Ordos Municipal Sports Development Center Stadium, personal bests fell in nearly every discipline, a clear sign that these inaugural Championships are already pushing the region's U23 athletes to new heights.

The evening's headline came with a twist. A day after winning 100m gold, Malaysia's Muhammad Azeem Mohd Fahmi was disqualified from the Men's 200m final for a false start, opening the door for China's Youwen Huang to claim victory in a personal-best 20.43, with Japan's Kota Uematsu (20.58) and India's Abhay Singh (20.96) completing the podium.
In the women's race, China's Yutong Jiang timed a personal-best 23.47 for gold ahead of Vietnam's Thi Cam Tu Le (23.50) and Japan's Ami Takahashi (23.66 SB).

Yingying Huang claimed Women's Long Jump gold at 6.48m ahead of Kazakhstan's Anastassiya Rypakova and Vietnam's Thi Thuy Hang Ha, both crossing 6.10m.
Women's Javelin Throw Final: 647 - Pin Hsun CHU - TPE
Uzbekistan's Valeriya Gorbatova cleared 1.85m to top a closely fought Women's High Jump ahead of two Chinese athletes on countback, and Chinese Taipei's Pin Hsun Chu produced a personal-best 57.31m to win the Women's Javelin Throw ahead of China's Xidan Zhang and Japan's Aoi Murakami.
The team competition also continued to take shape, with China, Japan, India, and Uzbekistan all landing multiple finalists across Friday's program — a sign of how evenly the contest for the overall team title is developing heading into the Championships' closing stages, with China's strength across both sprints and field events giving it an early edge in the standings.
With the Decathlon and Heptathlon fields also deep into their events, Ordos' second day leaves no shortage of storylines heading into the final sessions. The city rests tonight, but the track won't wait — day three brings more finals, more first medals for some, and more chapters in a Championship still finding its heroes.
