Sad Demise of Mr. Lou Dapeng (Former Vice President of Asian Athletics Association)
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Lou Dapeng.
On behalf of Asian Athletics, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, to the Chinese Athletics Association and to the entire sporting community of China.
Mr. Lou was a remarkable leader and a true gentleman of our sport. His lifelong dedication to athletics and his role in connecting China with the international athletics family will always be remembered.
He served Asian Athletics with great distinction as a Council Member from 1981 to 2000 and later retired as Vice President, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, service and friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
