VISIT TO TiMOR LESTE BY GEN. SURAPONG ARIYAMONGKOL , SR.VICE PRESIDENT AND MR TIGOR TANJUNG,VICE PRESIDENT OF ASIAN ATHLETICS
Audience with His Excellency José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor Leste
With Minister of Youth and Sport of Timor Leste HE Nelyu Isaac this morning.
Senior Vice President Gen. Surapong and Vice President Mr. Tigor Tanjung met with HE Nelyu Isaac Timor Leste's Minister of Youth and Sport, who expressed strong support for athletics as one of the government's five priority sports.
The Minister plans to integrate athletics into the school curriculum and work closely with the Ministry of Education. Asian Athletics shared ideas on coach development, including online courses and e-learning platforms. The delegation also encouraged the implementation of Kids Athletics, for which the national federation has 12 sets of equipment and 5 certified coaches.
With this commitment from the government, now the NF can present an attractive proposal for more activities and seek the government for funding in this matter.
Prior to their departure, they had the honor of an audience with His Excellency José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor Leste.
