Asian Athletics (AA) and the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) held a joint meeting today in Abeokuta, Nigeria, bringing together leaders from both continental federations to strengthen cooperation and plan future steps for the growth of athletics in Asia and Africa.
The meeting was led by Asian Athletics President Gen. Dahlan Al Hamad and CAA President Hamad Kalkaba Malboum. It featured open discussions, mutual understanding, and a shared goal of supporting athletes across both continents.

The agenda included the overview of how each Area works, review of the competition calendar and how it can be used to support athlete development, discussions on training and development programs. The meeting also addressed other topics of shared interest.
This gathering showed the strong partnership between Asian Athletics and the Confederation of African Athletics and highlighted their commitment to working together. The discussions opened the door to more collaboration and joint efforts that will help athletics grow across both regions.
