From February 10 to 12, 2023, the capital of Kazakhstan will host the 10th Asian Athletics Indoor Championships. More than 500 athletes will take part in the large-scale event. The championship will be held in the Qazaqstan track and field sports complex. This competition is one of the most important athletics events of the Asian Athletics Association calendar in 2023. It should be noted that the Asian Athletics Indoor Championships is held for the first time in the territory of the CIS countries. It is planned that athletes from more than 31 countries will take part in the competition. In total, athletes will perform in 26 athletics disciplines, including running, throwing, jumping and all-around.

Shot put; The opening ceremony of the competition will be attended by the President of the Asian Athletics Association – Dahlan al-Hamad, the President of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Danial Akhmetov, members of the Council of the Asian Athletics Association, heads of national federations from Asian countries, as well as honored athletes and figures of Kazakhstani sports.
