Dear President/General Secretary,
We are saddened to learn the passing of our dear friend Mr Vladimir Zykov from Kazakhstan. He was a member of our Asian AA Council from 1995 till 2005.
During this tenure, he has actively contributed to the Asian AA positively. One such contribution is the introduction of his ’Quota System’ formulation, which we are adopting in all our Asian Competition today. The system eased the burden of the hosting countries immensely and came to be known as the “Zykov System”, named after him.
We will remember him for his charming disposition and his contribution to Athletics.
Condolences to his family and federation. May his soul rest in peace.
