22nd August 2017 Kuala Lumpur: AAA President Gen. Dahlan Al Hamad this evening attended the evening session of the track events at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in the Presence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia-Dato’Sri Najib Razak , Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dato’ Sri Haji Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, Minister for Youth And Sports Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar , Olympic Council of Malaysia President Y.A.M. Tunku Tan Sri Imran Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar.
Earlier in the day Gen.Dahlan visited the head quarters of the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) and met the Secretary General of OCM Dato’ Low Beng Choo and exchanged ideas on the betterment of Asian Athletics. He was accompanied to the meeting by Dato Karim Ibrahim – Malaysia Athletics Federation President, Mr. Maurice Nicholas Secretary General of AAA and the Council of South East Asian Athletic Association

Later during the Day, AAA President attended the South East Asian Athletic Association Council meeting. He congratulated the newly re-appointed Council under the Leadership of Pol Gen. Sant Sarutanond , President of Athletics Association of Thailand. Pol. Maj. Gen. Ariyamonkol Surapong and Mr. Tigor Tanjung were re appointed as General Secretary and Vice President of the Council Respectively. Datu S.M Muthu was newly appointed as the Vice President of the Council.
