Olga Rypakova of Kazakhstan wins Bronze medal in Triple Jump- IAAF World Championship 2017

London: Asian record holder and multiple Olympic medallist Olga Rypakova of Kazakhstan won bronze medal in the women triple jump final with a season best jump of 14.77m in the IAAF World Championship in London. It was at the same stadium Olga had won her Olympic Gold medal in 2012.

Olga said, “It seems I am on a wave of bronzes but the girls are so strong in our event this year. Of course, after winning bronze in Beijing and Rio, I was hoping for gold and was pushing hard to do my best. But the differences were very small and I really gave 100 percent into my attempts tonight. I got very tired after the third jump and could not improve after that. But I am very pleased for this medal. I still have two competitions in front of me but after London, I look forward to going home for a while because I have not seen my kids for a month. I love this stadium, I have the best memories winning my Olympic gold here. I think that was the best competition of my life.
